Busy, busy, busy!!!
Sorry about the absence this weekend, I just had a busy weekend of having one of my best friends head off to basic training for the Army, and I had a lot of work and school to do.
What you probably have already heard is that the Ducks won the CBI tournament over the weekend and it was all thanks to the half-court line or lack there of. Rumor is that the Ducks might be forced to put in a line for next year.
Spring practice has been going on every other day this past week. Ducks have been having consistent good performers day in and day out with: Boseko Lokombo, Bryan Bennett, Darron Thomas, LaMichael James and Lache Seastrunk. Ducks are off today and are back on the practice field tomorrow.

NCAA Scandals
This spring there has been a lot of controversy and scandals brought up in college football. Duck fans are experiencing a very nerve racking time with NCAA looking in on the payment and mentor status of Willie Lyles.
Other football programs are experiencing similar scandals. Ohio State is going through a scandal for their coach, Jim Tressell, lying about infractions that were committed by their team. SEC is always going through these scandals as well. Four former Auburn players admitted on HBO "Real Sports" that they were being paid by boosters, and how on visits to Ohio State they were offered sexual favors. This is not a surprise to a lot of people. There is a reason why the SEC is so dominant, schools will do anything to have a winning football team. The Lyles scandal that the University of Oregon is going through right now would be a minor violation in the eyes of the SEC, but to many Oregon fans, this is a big violation.
I have heard a lot of people say that "what Oregon is doing is fine because everyone else is doing it"... that doesn't make it alright. I have higher expectations for Oregon and I hope they clean it up and get the job done in the correct way. No more playing in the mud, we learned our lesson. Let's be better than the SEC. Go Ducks!

Thursday Practice
The Ducks finished the last day of padless practice. The Ducks will have pads on starting Saturday. Practice today consisted of trying to find a center, and two classmates of mine: Karrington Armstrong and Hroniss Grasu compete to replace Jordan Holmes. Lache Seastrunk had another stellar day along with fellow backs: Kenjon Barner and LaMichael James. Bryan Bennett again wows practice with his fastball type throws. Ducks are looking to reload this year and not rebuild.

Ducks Win! Ducks Win!
Ducks forced a game three for the CBI tournament finale. Ducks beat Creighton 71-58, forcing a game 3 to be held at Matthew Knight Arena on Friday. "Betta get ya popcorn ready." The Ducks look to put a great ending to a surprisingly successful season. The Ducks current record right now is 20-18. Nobody saw a 20 win season on our hands.
